Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 7, 2026 · CeleryCal is a product of Celery Software LLC

The short version

  • You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name or email to use the tool.
  • Your event details are turned into links and .ics files inside your own browser. We do not receive or store them.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics (Google Tag Manager)) load only if you accept them in the cookie banner. We never sell personal information.
  • When you open or share a calendar link, the event details travel inside that link to the calendar service you chose.

1. Who we are

CeleryCal (the "Service") is a free calendar event and ICS file generator owned and operated by Celery Software LLC ("Celery Software LLC", "we", "us" or "our"), located in Delaware, United States. Celery Software LLC is responsible for the processing of personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@celeryagency.com.

2. Information we do not collect

The event details you type into the generator (title, dates, times, time zone, location, description, organizer name and email, reminders and repeat rules) are processed entirely by JavaScript running in your browser. They are not sent to our servers, and we do not store, read or have access to them. Closing or reloading the page discards them. The same applies to QR codes, which are drawn in your browser.

3. Information that is processed

3.1 Preferences stored on your device

The Service saves three small values in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:

  • cl-cal-lang remembers whether you chose English or Spanish.
  • cl-consent remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies.
  • cl-promo-dismissed remembers when you closed the CeleryLinks suggestion.

See our Cookie Policy for details and how to remove them.

3.2 Technical information when you load the website

Like any website, when your browser requests a page, the servers that host the Service automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and operating system type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time of the request. This information is used only to deliver the website, keep it secure and diagnose errors. It is handled by our hosting and infrastructure providers on our behalf and is kept only for as long as needed for those purposes.

3.3 When you open or share a calendar link or QR code

Calendar links work by placing your event details inside the web address. When you click "Open", or when anyone you share a link with opens it, those details are sent to the calendar service in the link, which processes them under its own privacy policy:

Downloaded .ics files and QR codes are saved to your device. Whoever scans or imports them uses their own calendar app, such as Apple Calendar (Apple Privacy Policy). Anyone who receives a link, file or QR code from you can read the event details in it, so only include information you are comfortable sharing.

3.4 When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.

3.5 Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics (Google Tag Manager). These services receive information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and browser type and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and they set the cookies listed in our Cookie Policy. They never receive the event details you type: the generator is excluded from recordings, and those details only leave your browser when you open or share a link. If you click "Reject", none of these services are loaded.

4. How and why we use information

  • To provide and secure the Service (technical information in section 3.2), based on our legitimate interest in running a reliable and safe website.
  • To answer your messages (section 3.4), based on our legitimate interest in supporting users, or to take steps you request.
  • To measure and improve the Service (section 3.5), only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in "Cookie settings".
  • To comply with the law, where we are legally required to keep or disclose information.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only disclose information:

  • to service providers that host and operate the website on our behalf, under obligations to protect it;
  • to our analytics providers (Google), only if you accept optional cookies;
  • when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Celery Software LLC;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

6. International transfers

Celery Software LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers may process technical information in the United States or other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.

7. How long we keep information

We keep technical information only as long as needed to operate and secure the Service, and email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and meet legal obligations. Preferences in your browser remain until you clear them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and other US state laws, or similar laws in Latin America), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold very little information about you, most requests will concern emails you have sent us.

To exercise a right, email support@celeryagency.com. We will respond within the time the law requires and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To remove the preferences stored on your device, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Optional trackers never load without your consent. There is no common standard for Do Not Track, so we do not respond to it separately.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, and because event details never reach our servers they cannot be exposed from them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will change the effective date above and, if the changes are significant, show a notice on the website before they take effect.
